What Transportation contributes to Cardinal Health
Transportation is responsible for the movement of materials and products between suppliers, manufacturing, warehousing, and the customer. Management of transportation assets and systems to gain greater service, cost efficiency and optimization of processes.
This position is responsible for supporting Cardinal Health’s freight pay and audit processes. This position is instrumental in fostering change with internal and external customers through the planning, organizing, and implementation of logistics solutions. It will support work with cross-functional teams, such as IT, operations, logistics service providers, customer service, finance, and sales.
Accountabilities in this role
Assist carriers with aging reports for transportation invoicesResearch and resolve invoice disputes Manually audit middle mile pharmaceutical invoices in ExcelResponsible for data maintenance in the freight pay system such as adding or removing Cardinal locations, carriers, GLs, and cost centers. Provide feedback and improvements to the freight pay systemPerform ad-hoc reporting as requiredOther duties as assignedWhat is expected of you and others at this level
Experience in distribution/transportation operations and billing/invoicingBasic understanding of various carrier pricing, tariff, and contract rate applicationAbility to work effectively in an environment characterized by complexity, ambiguity, and rapid changeAbility to work efficiently and establish clear priorities quickly to meet deadlinesPositive attitude, collaborative interpersonal skills, and leadership skillsHigh personal integrity and ethics with uncompromising standardsCustomer-centric mindset, problem-solving, and analytical skillsDemonstrated ability to effectively resolve internal and external customer requestsQualifications:
