We are currently seeking an experienced skilled Appliance Installation Technician! Ferguson has an exciting opportunity to join our In-House Delivery & Installation Team as an Appliance Installation Specialist focusing on high end appliance installations.

An Advanced Level Appliance Installation Technician specializes in residential appliances and, more specifically, professional style, built in appliances. This includes but is not limited to 36”-60” ranges, built-in refrigeration, wall ovens, dishwashers, and panel ready appliances. Our technicians are detail oriented and view customer service with equal importance as technical proficiency. You will ensure the quality and completion of installations are achieved. If you have strong leadership skills, are a creative problem-solver and are familiar with home appliance products or installation, this is an excellent opportunity to grow with an industry leading organization.

ResponsibilitiesDeliver and install appliances of all types with a focus on high end/custom appliancesAccurate handling and installation of gas and electric household appliances ranging from standard dishwashers to professional series ranges, built in refrigerators, ventilation systems, including panel ready appliances.Properly follow all proper installation procedures and techniques and test to ensure proper functionalityInstall appliances per the manufacturer specifications using hand and power tools and other equipmentPerform quality checks on work performed by you and coworkersParticipate in associate meetings and communicate any concerns to managementUtilize 3rd party software applications entering data to document work performed daily

Qualifications2+ years of experience with Appliance Delivery and Installation Service is requiredAbility to deliver “white glove service” to customers, excellent customer service skills are a must!Valid state issued driver’s license is required (CDL not required)Excellent customer service skills, requiredExcellent communication skills required… express ideas clearly and completely when speaking to customersDocument important job notes in a way a non-tradesperson would understandPrior experience with construction, kitchen, plumbing or home appliance products or installations requiredAbility to read and understand product specs requiredOutstanding attention to detail requiredOrganization, time management, and creative problem-solving skills are a must

Applicants must have mechanical skills and a willingness to learn – basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry skills are required.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Must be able to lift 50+ pound objects frequently and 90+ pound objects occasionally.
