Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Senior Application Analyst and Application System Developer I is a dual-role position that combines advanced enterprise application administration with entry-level application development. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective management, configuration, and optimization of critical enterprise systems, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Education Cloud, and Banner Document Management. In addition, this role includes responsibilities as an application developer, focusing primarily on Salesforce configuration and development, with the opportunity to learn and grow configuration and development skills. The position reports to the Application Developer Team Lead in TCIT’s Enterprise Applications division.
In their capacity as Senior Application Analyst, this individual identifies and troubleshoots issues, coordinating with technical teams and vendors for prompt resolution. The position requires a skilled professional who can perform account administration, system upgrades, testing, integration planning, configuration, user education, and enforcement of best practices. They provide comprehensive end-user support, including training and documentation, fostering an environment that enhances user adoption and proficiency. Part of their role involves staying abreast of industry trends, and advancements in enterprise applications, and identifying opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements. They also lead regular user group meetings, keeping all relevant parties informed about application status and initiatives.
As an application system developer, this individual is a member of a team that responds to end-user demands with a set of processes that includes technical discovery, design collaboration, solution scoping and estimation, configuration and development, documentation and code review, code deployment, and validation. The Application Development team works collaboratively in short, iterative cycles to deliver incremental value, continuously adapting to change and focusing on customer needs.
In addition to executing discrete administration, configuration, development, and documentation tasks to iterate on TC’s applications and products, this individual will manage projects related to enterprise application strategy, upgrades, development, feature iteration, and use optimization. In this capacity, they collaborate with stakeholders inside and outside of TCIT to scope and design a solution, build a project plan, lead project meetings, liaise between functional and technical stakeholders, monitor and escalate project risks and issues, and ensure that solutions are tested and introduced to optimize user reception and adoption.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Application Administration
Administer, configure, and optimize enterprise systems. Perform upgrades, testing, and integration planning. Document configurations and ensure compliance with best practices. Train and support end users.Application Configuration and Development
Support the development and enhancement of Salesforce applications, including Lightning components, Apex, and Flow. Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to deliver and validate solutions. Learn and apply development best practices.Project Management
Plan and manage projects related to enterprise application administration or development. Develop project timelines, coordinate resources, and track progress to ensure successful deliveryUser Education and Best Practices Enforcement
Conduct training sessions, facilitate user group discussion, develop user guides, and promote the adoption of enterprise systems. Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and sender reputation standardsTechnical Support and Troubleshooting
Provide tier 2/3 support for enterprise applications. Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, escalating when necessary. Maintain logs and reports of system performance.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a relatedfield. 3+ years of experience in enterprise application administration, including experience with Salesforce
Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Education Cloud, and/or Banner Document Management. Experience with user account management, system upgrades, testing, and integration planning. Basic understanding of Salesforce development (e.g., Lightning components, Apex, or Flow). Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to train and support end users
effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant, orSalesforce Platform Developer I). Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, middleware tools, or data integration platforms. Familiarity with Banner Document Management or other higher education ERP systems. Knowledge of best practices in data stewardship, security, and governance for enterprise applications. Prior experience in higher education or non-profit IT environments.
Salary Range:
$95,000 - $105,000
