Job Description:\n
Semper Valens is seeking to fill an Application Developer IV position to support our IDCS team in San Antonio, TX. What success looks like in this role:\n
Engineers and implementation of software solutions by developing new code and integrating Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS), Commercial of the Shelf Software (COTS), and Government of the Shelf Software (GOTS)\n
Leads multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and\/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of software, for host based and network sensors and data analysis platforms.\n
Collaborates with system operators, system maintainers, engineers, application programmers, Product Owners, configuration managers, technical writers, and other stakeholders to mature requirements.\n\nWrites, updates, and maintains computer programs, software packages, and user documentation.\nDevelops computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information.\nDevelops software for collecting and analyzing data from remote network sensors and host-based security tools\nDevelops, analyzes, enhances, and modifies GitLab CI\/CD Pipelines\nTroubleshoots GitLab CI\/CD Pipelines\nAutomates tasks using GitLab CI\/CD Pipelines\nUtilizes stakeholder feedback and system testing to obtain information on system capabilities and limitations.\nLeads development and incorporation of unit and integration tests into a CI\/CD pipeline to validate software quality.\nWorks in parallel and support QA\/testing as needed.\nWorks as part of a cross-functional teams that follows Agile\/DevSecOps practices.\n\n
Requirements\n\nActive Secret clearance; with TS\/SCI eligibility\n10+ years' relevant work experience with Masters Degree\nBachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience can substitute for Masters Degree\nSoftware developing (programing) experience.\nGitLab Experience (developing, writing, enhancing, troubleshooting, maintaining CI\/CD pipelines)\nRed Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) experience\nWindows 10\/11 Experience\nGIT experience\nExperience with two or more programming\/scripting Languages or technologies: JavaScript, Angular 12+, TypeScript, Ansible, Kubernetes, Python 2\/3, Helm, Docker, Bash.\nExperience with databases and servers: Apache, MongoDB, NoSQL, Elasticsearch, SQL\nUnderstand Networking Principles (TCP\/IP)\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n
Desired\n\nFamiliarization with Bitbucket, Jira, SonarQube, GitLab, Nexus, Bro\/Zeek, Suricata, and Moloch\/Arkime\nDevSecOps Experience\n\n
Certifications\n\n8570\/8140 compliant: IAT II (required within 6 months)\n\n
