Senior Application Security Engineer
Overview The Senior Application Security Engineer plays a pivotal role in green fielding next-generation solutions for application security. Their work will significantly impact our global developer community and enhance the security posture of thousands of applications. They will be responsible for developing full-stack web applications, custom middleware, and leveraging cloud technologies to fully integrate tools into CI/CD pipelines. Responsibilities Innovative Development: Lead the development and implementation of innovative, full-stack solutions that cater to the evolving needs of application security. Design and develop middleware and other integration tools to enhance system connectivity and functionality, ensuring smooth operations across various platforms. Champion the adoption and integration of advanced cloud technologies, focusing on embedding robust security measures into CI/CD pipelines for a seamless development process. Innovate in the realm of application security, leveraging state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies to build systems that not only meet current demands but also anticipate future challenges. Drive the development of systems and tools that abstract and automate critical aspects of application security testing. Implement and integrate generative AI technology to revolutionize application security, facilitating automated, intelligent solutions for vulnerability detection, code review, and remediation. Global Impact and Transformation: Play a crucial role in shaping the security framework and practices within the organization, impacting thousands of developers and a multitude of applications globally. Expertise in Python, with proven ability to leverage its full potential in developing complex and innovative applications. Proficiency in full-stack development, with a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies. Experience in developing and integrating custom middleware, ensuring seamless inter-system connectivity. Advanced knowledge of cloud technologies (preferably Azure/AWS) and their application in building scalable, secure environments. Strong skills in database management and optimization, including proficiency in SQL. Familiarity with modern CI/CD tools and practices, and their integration into the development lifecycle. Experience with generative AI technologies and their application in automating and enhancing development processes. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a creative and innovative mindset. Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for various stakeholders. Proven track record in successfully managing and delivering large-scale projects. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively across diverse teams and geographies. Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure. Strong organizational skills, with the capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
