The MNIT DHS team supports complex and varied technical needs, including systems that provide health care coverage, deliver child protection and welfare services, and provide support for Minnesotans with special needs including mental illness, chemical dependencies, and physical or developmental disabilities. As a Senior Applications Analyst/Developer, you will provide advanced professional knowledge and skills in information systems problem identification, requirements definition and determination of alternative solutions and to provide the analysis, design, development (coding), testing, implementation and support of Mainframe Systems Development Division (MSDD) systems including Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS). Experience must also include the following: + Experience in analyzing, designing, programming, and testing applications. + Experience working with COBOL as a developer. + Ability to evaluate and recommend alternative solutions to solve system level problems. + Experience working within a large diverse System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). + Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding amongst all parties. + Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.
