Summary

The Senior Engineering Applications Analyst, Senior (EAA) is responsible for overseeing the various software systems used as tools to support the work performed by AV’s Engineering organization. Working closely with the Digital Business Technology (DBT) department, the Administrator plans, implements and manages Engineering and company wide applications.  This includes business case definition, documentation, requirements, testing, operational guidelines, and training. Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools. Establishes and maintains security and integrity processes and controls.

Position Responsibilities

Performs all duties of an EAA, including working with users, making system configuration and coding changes as required, implementing system enhancements from analysis through test and delivery, and troubleshooting system issues.Work with DBT and Engineering to deploy and maintain engineering software applications and related components in development and production environments. Example systems: Subversion, OKTA, GitLab, Bamboo CI/CD, Agile, SolidWorks PDM, JAMA, etc.Develops code to automate deployment, integration and configuration of custom application as well as related third-party softwarePerforms production installations and upgrades for customers both on-site and remotely, with ongoing engineering and operations supportDetermines methods and instructions on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead)Serve as point of contact for issues pertaining to Software Tools used by EngineeringWorks with existing or new vendors, consultants, and system integrators to evaluate new software solutions or processes and manages relationships with the providersMay manage tool budget, licenses & usage, approving tool purchases for Engineering organization, liaise between engineering functional managers to determine future development needs, headcount projections, respective budget, etc. and manage fiscal tool efforts according to planSupport tool updates, installations & troubleshooting, working closely with DBTWorks on problems of any scope where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining resultsDevelops professional expertise and applies company policies, processes, etc.to resolve a variety of issues relating to the systems.Creates and maintains installation guides, operations guides, working procedures, and standards.Maintains productive relationships with teams and individuals across the organization.Takes the initiative to learn a skill or application that is new to the team and cross-trains other team membersLead cross-functional teams and projects to develop new solutions and can effectively evaluate competing solutions and gain consensus and approval of the optimal solution for AV’s business.Organizes and leads meetings as required and clearly presents and communicates ideas to a non-technical audience.Trains other AV teams and groups in new system capabilities.Initiates continuous improvement by gaining support for new ideas and leads project efforts.Serves as a recognized, respected, and trusted Engineering Systems expert at AV.May represent the Engineering Systems Administrator team to AV senior and executive level management.  This includes advising on the nature of current Engineering Systems applications as well as setting strategy for the future direction of related applications and processes.Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems desired (advanced degree preferred) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.8 – 12 years’ experience in integrating and managing multiple engineering development and integration environments with a focus on automationStrong background in managing, integrating, configuring, and testing software development, production, and deployment environments5 or more years’ experience working in or supporting high tech engineering users and teamsExperience integrating and configuring application production and deployment environments.Experience supporting and enhancing a PLM application, preferably Oracle Agile or Oracle SCM Cloud is preferredFamiliarity with industry leading PLM applications and their relative strengths and weaknesses.Experience supporting Mechanical/Electrical CAD tools and workgroup PDM applications, preferably SOLIDWORKS PDM.Software development (coding) experience in an industry standard language.Solid understanding in web-based application architecture.Demonstrated experience with cloud-based technologies.Demonstrated experience leading enterprise level application installations and upgrades.Demonstrated experience in participating in and presenting to cross functional business teams.Demonstrated project management skills.Team Lead, Windows Apps., C# .Net, C++, CSS, Typescript, WPF

The salary range for this role is:

$93,371 - $132,300
