Join our enthusiastic, professional, and collaborative timing customer applications engineering team. Our team is focused on timing jitter attenuator products that are designed into high-speed, high-performance clock designs. We work closely with world-wide customers and various internal teams such as marketing, systems/design, quality and test to ensure our products are well understood and designed-in successfully. We are committed to doing the right thing and passionate about helping our customers solve timing problems by understanding their use-cases and end applications. We are looking for experienced individuals with exceptional communication skills who are comfortable explaining technical concepts to a wide range of audiences to assist customers toward design-in of our jitter attenuator products while also collaborating with our internal teams to fix existing issues and understand use-cases or features for future products. The end applications of our products typically require high performance (low noise/low jitter) clocking solutions and are critical to the success of the end-system. Engineers in this position must be familiar with both the practical and theoretical aspects of PLL functionality, noise transfer functions, broadband PCB signal integrity for high speed serial links, general analog circuit analysis in time/frequency domains, along with extensive experience in operating lab instruments including oscilloscopes, spectrum and phase noise analyzers.
Responsibilities• Provide technical assistance to customers by email, phone and visits, and actively work with customers and sales on design-in activities
• Create, promote and deliver technical sales training to field personnel
• Visit customer sites to provide technical backup for sales and marketing personnel
• Design, debug, and document demonstration and/or evaluation boards
• Debug/test/document and share results of enhanced features in existing or future products
• Develop launch collateral for new products (reference manuals, datasheets, application notes, FAQ, application use models, etc.)
• Must be comfortable working on challenging problems while working in an interrupt driven environment
• Exercise good judgement with clear decision making capabilities to drive results
• Driven to meet deadlines while held accountable to high quality standards
• Positive attitude with strong desire for customer and team success to maintain our winning culture
Required Experience and Skills• Minimum of a technology-related bachelor's degree and 5 years experiences, and master’s degree is a plus
• Solid knowledge of analog and digital circuit, signal and system fundamentals and methodologies
• Knowledge of phase locked loops (PLL), control systems, or serial transceivers experience.
• Knowledge of signal integrity issues, simulations, and familiarity with the EDA tools such HyperLynx is a plus
• Schematic capture and PCB design skills, and familiarity with the EDA tools such as Cadence is a plus
• Knowledge of proper and effective use of lab test equipment such as oscilloscope
• Knowledge of firmware programming, PCB soldering and rework tools
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills in both Mandarin and English (CTE6 or high TOEFL levels)
Desired Experience and Skills• Software programming (such as Visual Studio, Python, etc.) is a plus.
