Senior Applications Engineer

The Senior Applications Engineer, Cloud Solutions, serves as the IT owner for various applications and productivity tools associated with the M365 platform and other cloud vendors, including MS Teams, Copilot, and IntApp Workspaces. This highly skilled technical role encompasses strategic planning, daily oversight, and support of assigned systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to directly influence the company's cloud migration journey and the adoption of advanced productivity tools.

This position will be a hybrid model in Washington D.C.

What You Will Be Doing: Serve as the application owner and technical lead for various M365 platform applications and solutions, including Teams, OneDrive, and Copilot, as well as cloud solutions from other vendors like IntApp. Oversee the delivery of new solutions. Exhibit extensive knowledge and expertise in M365 and related technologies. Lead strategic discussions and provide recommendations on configurations, governance, and integrations. Understand the interconnections between M365, on-premises applications, SaaS applications, and tools like Litera CAM. Collaborate with Endpoint, InfoSec, Development, and Infrastructure teams on integrations for Office, Outlook, Add-ins, Intune, SharePoint, AWS, Azure, Azure AD, Okta, and Mobile Iron. Manage application implementations, upgrades, enhancements, troubleshooting, and roadmaps. Ensure the health and stability of all owned solutions. Foster and enhance strong relationships with Microsoft and other vendors. Stay informed on specific offering roadmaps and demonstrate strong knowledge of the M365 space. Monitor, track, and report on performance and capacity. Handle capacity planning. Maintain up-to-date architecture and support documentation for use by engineering teams and support staff. Adhere to and participate in IT’s Change Management, SDLC, and incident management processes. Collaborate in the development and use of training and Quality Assurance materials and activities for supported applications. Provide coaching to junior analysts. Work with Quality Assurance on test scripts, procedures, and remediation. Required Skills & Experience: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft M365, Hybrid Connection Manager, and related on-premises desktop and server components. Proficient in Azure and AWS environments and related technologies and components. Familiar with various legal and non-legal cloud solutions from vendors such as IntApp, Litera, Elite, and iManage. Strong communication, organization, negotiation, critical thinking, and leadership skills, along with exceptional customer service and collaboration abilities. Advanced understanding of multi-tier architecture including servers, databases, proxies, load balancing, trust/access rights, certificates, and integrations. Knowledge of system integrations including APIs, web services, FTP, and database-to-database. Ability to manage monitoring, backups, HA, BC, DR, patching, and admin tools. Experience with desktop and mobile applications for installation and configuration. Proficiency in SQL Server, SQL development/queries, and reporting tools. Experience in project management, planning, task management, and resource management using tools like Confluence and JIRA. Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell. Awareness of security best practices and procedures. Understanding of data governance best practices and procedures.
Desired Skills & Experience: At least 3 years of executive-level engagement and customer service experience. At least 3 years of experience in a professional services or legal environment.
