​​Applied Scientist are involved in advancing the state-of-the-art in AI and research. They are responsible for researching and developing an understanding of innovative tools, technologies, and methods that can be applied to improve product quality, performance, or efficiency. This role is pivotal in contributing knowledge around specialized tools and methods to support business impact, and serves as an expert in deeply specialized areas. Applied Scientists in this role are also involved in capability management and networking, reinforcing a positive environment, and contributing to publications on research finding.​
