Join a purpose driven winning team that promotes creativity and innovation in a fast-paced environment, where we’re always committed to results, in an inclusive, diverse, and high-performing culture. **_Purpose_** **The Team** The Enterprise Architecture team is an exciting team with the mandate to design, develop, govern and drive the global technology strategy for the Bank. **The Role** This role will work closely with technology teams across the Bank and additionally will have a great deal of exposure to senior executives, business line leaders and a diverse set of stakeholders to assess current capabilities, identify opportunities and design future state operating model, capabilities, and implementation roadmaps. The Architect will also assist in leading the execution of key technology initiatives working with teams across technology to ensure that the strategy becomes reality. **_Accountabilities_** + Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. + Strategy Development + Work with technology teams to understand current state gaps, future state capabilities needed and industry landscape. + Lead the prioritization and development of implementation roadmaps to address gaps and ensure solutions are in line with enterprise vision. + Architecture Development + Lead one or more large scale technology initiatives from inception to execution working with technology teams across the Bank. + Work with teams to perform business analysis to develop viable business cases including initiative cost/benefit analysis, hardware/software costs, resource forecasting, financial analysis, excel modeling and work with pivot tables. + Support streams within a project or a project workstream, including leading problem-solving sessions, workshops and interviews with cross-functional and business line working team members and subject matter experts. + Stakeholder Management + Work closely with technical teams and SMEs to ensure technology initiatives are delivered on time, within budget forecasts and deliver value identified at inception. + Work closely with non-technology teams including business lines, HR, Finance and Risk to ensure technology initiatives are meeting business needs and are integrated within the bank effectively. + Collaboration + Share knowledge and collaborate with others within the team and with other teams across the Bank to ensure effective delivery of projects. + Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. + Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. + Champions a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. **_Education / Experience / Other Information (include only those that are specific to the role)_** + Background in Technology development or delivery is preferred (e.g., different programing languages, agile work, cloud computing, etc.) + Experience in management consulting or corporate strategy or technology delivery/architecture is an asset. + Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic business environment + Superior interpersonal skills, leadership, and influential capabilities. + Self-motivated; work both independently and collaboratively with multi-functional teams, as both a leader and member. + Good knowledge of the specific technology challenges relevant to Banking industry with a sound understanding of current banking business trends and their implications for technology. + Superior planning and analytical skills, ability to discern research information / data and focus on the critical business issues. + Superior presentation and written communication skills + Undergraduate degree in business or engineering; graduate business degree/MBA is a strong asset Excellent knowledge with MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint **_Working Conditions_** + Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. \#LI-HYBRID Location(s): Colombia : Bogota : Bogota ScotiaTech is a business unit within ScotiaGBS, a Scotiabank Group company located in Bogota, Colombia.
