Job Description
Actively participate in the creation, production, and development of design concepts, schematic level documents, and technical construction documentation assigned by the studio. Ensure timely delivery and maintain high quality in all work. Utilize developing time management skills to coordinate production assignments with the project's production schedule. Skillfully coordinate and communicate project design, technical solutions, and project execution strategies with team members, stakeholders, and sub-consultants. Continue to advance professional development through training and education. Engage with fellow team members to promote mentorship, education, and professional development. Interpret, implement, maintain, and communicate the technical and aesthetic project requirements as required by project conditions. Perform other duties as necessary to meet firm objectives.
ResponsibilitiesCreate, produce, and develop design concepts and technical construction documentation.Coordinate production assignments with the project's production schedule.Communicate project design, technical solutions, and project execution strategies with team members, stakeholders, and sub-consultants.Maintain technical and quality standards.Advance professional development through training and education.Promote mentorship, education, and professional development within the team.Interpret and communicate project requirements and scope of work.Perform other duties to meet firm objectives.Essential SkillsProficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe, and other design software.Experience in the design and development of civic, municipality, and commercial projects.Construction document preparation and construction administration.Ability to redline and review technical documentation.1-3 years of professional experience as an Architectural Designer 3.3-6 years of overall experience in the design and construction industry.Additional Skills & QualificationsProfessionally accredited degree in Architecture or related field.Knowledge of building codes and building code analysis.Ability to autonomously develop architectural systems and assemblies.Strong problem-solving ability.Fluency in proportion, scale, texture, context, materiality, and maintaining quality design.Work Environment
The firm operates with employees coming in 2-3 times a week, depending on project requirements. Initially, the architect will be required to come in every day for at least the first month to work closely with the team. The office is a brand-new space adjacent to the mall, with free parking and easy access off I-95.
