Intent on being the leading fashion boutique worldwide, Shopbop’s Senior Art Director strategizes and creates the most forward fashion content in a manner that replicates the energy, styling, fashion and design sophistication our brand represents. By
commissioning internationally renowned photographers, models, set designers, hair and makeup artists, they highlight the newest trends in content creation and design across our editorial shoots in NY and beyond. This content spans across many multi-media projects, including our sites, apps, emails, videos, social channels, marketing materials and incentives. Reports to the Head of Creative Content.
Key job responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Head of Creative Content and work closely with Production, Styling, Design and Marketing teams to ensure cohesive global branding throughout all creative content, always insisting on the highest standards.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment effectively leading work on multiple projects in various phases under tight deadlines.
• Manage and direct photo shoots at a fast pace, both on-figure and still life editorial.
• Contribute and collaborate on production strategy.
• Where necessary, edit film, create story ideas that speak to fashion and concept spreads for stories, home page sequencing and overall pagination, being mindful of how this plays out across all branding media.
• Stay abreast with industry trends and knowledge, consistently challenging both yourself and the team with new ideas.
• Work closely with the styling team to execute both product styling and conceptual visions harmoniously.
• Partner closely with the social team on social media content that represents our brand in a way that translates well to this platform. Create and evolve style guides to help inform this content.
• Contribute to key new business initiatives that have close involvement with content strategy and production evolution and innovation.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts or related field.
• 5+ years in relative field with retail experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Expertise in Design for web, marketing and e-commerce.
• Strong concept development and excellent design sensibility
