We are looking for a promising Quantity Surveyor or Cost Controller with experience gained on a construction site, to join our globally recognised team of quantum experts. This pivotal role is ideal for someone eager to develop into an independent Quantum expert. We offer the support, training, and networking opportunities necessary to achieve this.
Our Quantum experts are involved in dispute resolution, primarily in expert witness testimony and support in arbitration and litigation, focussing on cost analysis as well as claims assessment, , technical issue analysis and account evaluation services. Our Practice includes construction and engineering professionals engaged in the world's largest projects. Services include Quantum and Delay Expert Witness Services, supporting major construction claims and dispute resolution through ADR, Arbitration, and Litigation.
Our EMEA APAC Construction Disputes practice operates through offices in London, Germany, France, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Singapore and China. with over 100 billable professionals. Our team, sourced from the Construction Industry, collectively brings experience across the Energy, Oil & Gas and Infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities:
+ Assist in analysis or preparation of claims and counterclaims in respect of loss and expense, disruption, prolongation, variation and final account.
+ You will be required to perform advanced data research, management, and analysis. This role will involve client interaction, including preparing and presenting results.
+ Working with a team, assisting with the provision of expert advice to clients.
+ Assist in delivery of commission services in line with client briefs.
+ Delivering tasks within specified time frames.
+ Processing and verification of high volume of data.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will hold at minimum a bachelor's degree, preferably in quantity surveying or construction management, and possess experience in a contracting and/or consulting setting, focusing on disputes. Senior Associate at Ankura is equivalent to a Senior Consultant or Senior Quantity Surveyor in the industry.
+ Qualification in Construction or Quantity Surveying.
+ Experience of working on a Construction site at Quantity Surveyor level with exposure to Claims and Disputes.
+ Proficiency in analysing and managing large volumes of data.
+ A sense of personal responsibility for the quality of your work and ability to manage own workload to meet deadlines.
+ Excellent oral and verbal communications skills.
+ Good analytical, investigation and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to adapt to a dynamic consultancy environment.
+ Very strong IT skills e.g. Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
+ Skilled at thriving in client-facing settings and actively cultivating relationships. You will be a collaborative team member and capable of working independently.
+ Membership of a relevant professional body i.e ICE or RICS is desirable.
+ Fluent in English and one other language is desirable but not mandatory.
