Job Description:

Provides onsite technical customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as performing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment. Supports Instruction to customers in the operation and maintenance of the system. Helps interpret customers' needs and clarifies if the responsibility for problem resolution falls to Program Management personnel or Program engineers. This position Requires time spent onboard ship/craft under construction and underway.  Some travel will be required.

Essential Functions:

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on various applications of Electronic Warfare equipment. Perform Installation of radar and electronic warfare (EW) systems.Set up and ensure proper operation of test equipment in accordance to prescribed methods.Support the operation of equipment to demonstrate its proper function and analyze malfunctions using manufacturer’s manuals and specifications.Perform repair, replacement and adjustment of equipment or components, replacing worn parts.Perform inspection of components of equipment for accurate assembly and for defects such as loose screws, nuts connections and frayed wires. Consult with lead engineer/s to plan layout of equipment and to resolve problems in system operations and maintenance.Assist in the performance of the installation of repaired equipment in various settings, such as industrial and military establishments.Ability to climb both vertical ladders and stairways and work in tight spaces.  To stand, kneel, extend overhead for prolong periods of time.Complete all required documentation for review and submission.

Qualifications:

Secret Clearance requiredIf none, must be able to attain clearanceOnboarding is contingent upon clearance received/approvedBachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.Minimum 1 years experience using laboratory stimulus and measurement equipment (power supplies, RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, etc.).

Preferred Additional Skills:

Excellent organization skills.Effective communication skills in a collaborative team environment.Experience in checking, packing, shipping, installing, and operating portable EW/FIC (Frequency Interference Control) systems/equipment at various remote locations.Experience troubleshooting and repairing systems/equipment by reading and interpreting electronic/mechanical schematics and by using simple and complex test equipment.
