The Role
Are you interested in having a say in how hundreds of millions of shares are executed every day in the markets while representing the interests of retail investors? The Order Flow Management role is an opportunity to influence how and where trading occurs, and to aid customers in getting the best possible executions for their orders! In this role, you will help develop the technology and routing strategies used to execute Fidelity customer order flow, support Fidelity’s channel trading capabilities and customer offerings, and work closely with internal business partners across product, technology, operations and other teams to continuously improve upon capabilities.
Leverage product development approach, methods and tools to evolve the Order Flow Management team’s capabilities across order routing, analytics and client support Take a data-driven approach to understanding customer, business and regulatory needs, translate strategic objectives into action, and prioritize across competing initiatives Serve as a day-to-day contact with exchanges and broker-dealers associated with the routing and analytics of Fidelity’s order flowThe Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree required Series 7 & 63, or ability to acquire within 6 months Series 24, or ability to acquire Series 24 within 1 year Interest in and understanding of US equities & options markets Standout colleague with a positive attitude and forward-thinking approach in delivering effective, innovative trading solutions Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate and present complex technical problems to a wide audience Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously Ability to conduct detailed data analysis with the keen ability to assimilate new information, draw conclusions and drive business outcomes Ability to liaise with multiple internal departments (legal, risk, compliance, operations, technology, business partners) to build solutions for our customers Proven ability to operate in the gray space, comfort with making trade-offs and getting the organization behind the decisions Self-starter who embraces pace over perfection and enjoys working in a fast-paced, demanding environment Ability to develop relationships with external market participants, including broker-dealers and exchanges, and develop an understanding of the trading ecosystem and competitive landscape to help drive Fidelity’s positioning The TeamThe Order Flow Management team (OFM) is responsible for the routing and execution quality of equity and options orders for Fidelity’s retail customers. The OFM Associate is a key contributor in deciding where and how customers’ orders are executed, and ensuring customers receive the best possible executions when they trade! In addition, the associate works with Fidelity channel partners to respond to customer order handling inquiries and represents the firm with market centers. In doing so, the associate improves our customer’s experience, delivers meaningful savings to our clients, assists in creating a competitive trading advantage and protects the firm’s reputation.
