Senior Associate, Loan Accounting Operations
Locations: Windsor, CT | Hybrid
Get To Know The Team:
The loan insurance team's day-to-day duties include performing loan servicing and loan accounting functions on assigned commercial or residential mortgage portfolios. The team uploads loan information onto SS&C’s loan servicing software, processes and reconciles loan life-cycle activity, and produces accurate accounting packages and service requests. They also assist in completion of any NAIC Schedule B regulatory reporting.

Perform daily or monthly reconciliations against multiple servicers, custodians and/or asset managersIdentify, research, and escalate any breaks against established counterpartiesReconcile daily / monthly GL transactions to ensure all loan transactions are processed and recorded accordinglyPerform critical self-review of work product prior to submission to client and/or supervisorProcess loan cash transactions such as payment processing, loan payoff, escrow disbursement, investor sale, etc.Monitor cash account and reconcile loan payment received from borrowerUpload newly originated / purchased loan onto SS&C loan servicing software and send welcome package to borrowerGenerate various loan notices such as billing statement, maturity notice, late payment notice, payoff statement, etcAssist in the implementation of new clientsWhat You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field2-4 years' relevant experience in the insurance industry or commercial Real Estate loan administrationKnowledge of US GAAP accounting or IFRSExperience with NAIC reporting with strong preference for NAIC Schedule B experienceInvestment general ledger experience is strongly preferredSelf-starter and ability to work independently to meet daily, monthly, and project deliverablesAbility to identify processing issue and formulate resolutionStrong ability to communicate professionally with internal / external contactsStrong analytical skills and ability to remain highly organized in a deadline driven environment while maintaining strict attention to detailProficiency with Microsoft Office suite, with advanced working knowledge of ExcelBasic proficiency in Microsoft SQL is a plusThank you for your interest in SS&C!
