The Role
Senior Associates in our Alternative Investment Funds practice work directly with Management as they engage in the tax planning, consulting, and compliance process for a variety of complex clients, including venture capital/private equity, holding companies, investment and operating partnerships, and SPV corporations.
Senior Associates can expect to:
Be a key member of tax compliance engagement teams, with key tasks to include the review of client provided information, standard and engagement-specific workpapers, and Federal and state tax returns, including foreign entity form reportingBe involved in International, Federal, and state tax consulting activities for the complete investment lifecycle: business mergers & acquisitions, operations, and sales/dispositionsWork with specialty practices, such as US National Tax, Valuation, Financial and Tax Due Diligence, to support client needsContinue to build their technical knowledge of tax planning, consulting, and compliance, for domestic and foreign entities through formal and on the job trainingConsistently work with management to identify and research complex client issuesSupervise and participate in the professional development of Associates and Interns The Requirements 2+ years of relevant tax experience, preferably in public accountingBachelor’s and/or relevant advanced degree (MAcc, MST)Accounting degreeMinimum GPA of 3.0Advanced credential or desire to obtain advanced credential allowing for IRS client representation (i.e. CPA or EA)Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentProficient use of relevant technology.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire.
