Job Summary

IT Asset Management specialist


Responsibilities

Responsible for the procurement of IT goods and services

Receives technical procurement requests and processes accordingly.

Assist in monitoring ordering and receiving inventory.

Assist with Catalog updates and upkeep

Verifies purchase requisitions/quotes. Obtains clarification for any unclear requests and recommends alternatives when available.

Sends purchase orders to vendors monitors vendor response times and expedites orders when needed.

Ensures assets are received from the vendor and shipped to the appropriate end user in a timely fashion.

Assist with special projects as needed.

Maintains high level of customer service

Track requests and communicate expectations to the customer.

Respond to customer and vendor inquiries about order status shipping and quality discrepancies damage claims rejections losses return merchandise authorizations (RMAs) over-shipments cancellations and product changes.

Support field personnel in troubleshooting issues related to mobile devices.

Responsible for IT inventory management

Scans equipment as it is received to enter into the asset database.

Maintain local and remote inventory levels for desktops laptops and peripherals.

Maintain hardware asset database and create reports as requested.

Assist with coordinating equipment disposals for remote locations as needed.

Address discrepancies in asset repository.

Provide ad hoc reports as requested.
