Job Summary

The Senior Associate Director, Executive Education Initiatives, will be responsible for business management and strategic initiatives that support the mission, growth strategy and operating model of Chicago Booth Executive Education. This newly created role will report to the Associate Dean of Executive Education and provide oversight of KPIs, financials, business operations and lead new initiatives collaborating with the Executive Education Senior Leadership team and key stakeholders at Chicago Booth and University of Chicago. This senior level position will lead special projects across the team to achieve operational efficiency, YOY revenue growth and business model innovation.

The Senior Associate Director will be viewed as a trusted partner and have proven relationship building skills with peers, executive-level stakeholders and external partners. The Senior Associate Director will be responsible for leading the Executive Education financial forecasting, annual budgeting process and reporting by collaborating closely with Chicago Booth budget office and internal stakeholders. As a member of a cross-functional leadership team, the Senior Associate Director will develop growth strategies and coordinate with Business Development, Marketing, Global Program Management and Operations functions on growth of custom and open enrollment programs. The Senior Associate Director will collaborate with global staff based in Chicago, London and Hong Kong on strategic initiatives that support Executive Education operational efficiencies and revenue growth. The role will be responsible for project management and facilitation of new initiatives, change management, partner relationships, tracking and reporting on relevant KPIs/success metrics, supporting global market research and working on special projects alongside Executive Education team as well as wider University of Chicago stakeholders.

Responsibilities

As a senior member of the Executive Education team, participates in establishing objectives, long-term goals, policies, and procedures with the Executive Education Associate Dean and Directors.Assists in developing, coordinating and managing project plan life-cycle, including financials, of all programs in alignment with Executive Education KPIs.Manages vendor contracts and relationships with external partners.Manages pipeline of existing and new revenue growth initiatives.Coordinates and facilitates internal/external team meetings.Liaise with Chicago Booth faculty on specific new programs and special projects.Provides market research and competitive intelligence support.Works on strategic special projects to support revenue growth and overall business strategy.Partners with internal stakeholders, such as accounting, finance, contracts, legal, risk, and operations, to prioritize quality control and customer experience for programs and initiatives.Ensures client, faculty and external partner satisfaction on end-to-end operating model and process.Hires, onboards, trains and evaluates staff and external faculty, as needed.Plans and develops program objectives, long-term goals, and procedures, which requires specialized knowledge and experience in this area. Plans, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness of programs, initiating revisions as needed.Serves as a key resource for program information. Resolves problems or questions referred by program staff, University administrators, or other contingencies.Performs other related work as needed.


Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.


Work Experience:

Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Experience:

A minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience.Previous team and budget management experience.Background negotiating with partners and clients and managing contracts.

Technical Skills or Knowledge:

Proficiency with Salesforce, Cvent, and Microsoft Office, especially MS PowerPoint and Excel.

Working Conditions

Work flexible hours according to demands of business.Travel internationally for programs or initiatives, as needed.This position is currently expected to work a minimum three days per week in the office.
