Senior Associate Engineer-Document Control

Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Role Definition** As a Senior Associate Engineer - Document Control, you shall be responsible to managing a controlled system of document process, creating drawings, maintaining document control applications, understanding the workflow process, status tracking/expediting of documentation. This role should demonstrate and support industrial gas turbine packaging and associated gas compression and power generation process and BOP systems engineering and design **Job Responsibilities** + The candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in engineering / design execution and associated applications. Experience should include demonstrated results managing the document control process including creating drawing lists, maintaining document control applications, issuing drawings, schedule management and document revision management supporting industrial gas turbine packaging and associated gas compression and power generation process and BOP systems engineering and design. Proficiency in MS Office applications, and experience with Solar Turbines strongly preferred. + Total accountability for developing, managing and maintaining the document control systems for all projects/programs. + Competence to create a document numerical system, filing of documentation, and gatekeeping of review/control packages. + Collect, electronically logs, and delivers to various engineering documents. Maintains established files of drawings and correspondence. Logs and routes interdisciplinary checks and supplier data. + Collaborate with project personnel and clients and work effectively in a multi-discipline team environment. + Coordinate with several functional team to progress the design intent (Hydro/Electrical/HMI Groups) + Evaluates existing document management systems and procedures in order to streamline the effectiveness + Improve in creating new policies and procedures that deal with document storage, sharing, sending, and destruction. + Knowledge on Gas Turbines and Packaging systems & components are added advantages. + Good Presentation skill and demonstrate the capability through Design Review Meeting + Continuously challenges self-skills in functional area and stays current with industry developments in one’s field of expertise + Become part of the product team and form close working relationships by understanding the whole system function and presenting solutions and design direction to the design community in an insightful and timely manner. + Excellent in modelling techniques using Creo parametric / Autodesk + Good exposure to the use of Product Lifecycle Management tool – Windchill + Good Exposure on ASME/API/ISO/ANSI & DIN **Desired Qualification:** A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited college or university or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum 5 years of industry experience in engineering / design execution and associated applications Good communication, organizational, teaming and analytical skills are a must. Working knowledge of computer aided design & drafting CADD system Advanced level MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook Experience with engineering, architectural, and construction documents (i.e., maps, drawings, technical specifications, etc.) Knowledge of gas turbine operations, and driven equipment Field experience, knowledge on Windchill, BOP would be an added advantage. **Skill Descriptors** Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. Level Working Knowledge: • Generates specifications for parts or components with CAD software. • Reuses design components via reusable libraries following standard procedures. • Uses CAD to perform basic drafting such as wire frames, solid objects and array of objects. • Performs routine changes to computerized schematics or drawings. • Creates views of objects in 2 and 3 dimensions; creates perspective drawings and orthogonal views. Product Design - MFG: Knowledge of processes, approaches, tools and techniques of product design; ability to convert customer and market requirements into product design. Level Working Knowledge: • Participates in the conception process of a manufacturing product vision. • Collects and analyzes customer and market requirements, and generates reports. • Utilizes design methods to implement the construction of a new design model. • Uses automated tools to design or modify the design of a product. • Assists in the testing and refinement of a new product design. Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.
