Our Independence, Compliance, & Business Conduct Team helps the firm, its partners and staff, manage a range of regulatory and professional requirements to ensure the firm’s independence from audit and assurance clients. We advise a broad range of internal stakeholders on the Independence requirements surrounding PwC’s relationships and interactions with third parties, and we use Global compliance systems and processes to clear and monitor arrangements within our vast community of solvers. As an Assistant Manager in the Independence & Compliance Team, you’ll make a real impact in a workplace that’s human-led and tech-enabled.

As an Assistant Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues. As part of our Independence, Compliance & Business Conduct team, you’ll be responsible for the following: 

Manage core Independence & Compliance processes by analyzing potential breaches and preparing breach reporting.Apply complex regulatory and policy requirements to a range of facts and circumstances, and provide practical solutions in novel scenarios.Analyze PwC services and other commercial relationships to identify potential issues and advise on how to address such issues.Participate in an international network of Independence and Business Conduct specialists.Advise engagement teams on the application of Independence rules and policies.Train users and ensure the correct use of PwC Global compliance systems.Develop training materials and process documents, and deliver Independence & Compliance training across the firm.Ensure Independence controls and Compliance monitoring activities are appropriately applied.Manage service delivery to ensure that Independence & Compliance queries are answered promptly.Seek and embrace opportunities which give exposure to different situations, environments and perspectives.Use feedback and reflection to develop self-awareness, personal strengths and address development areas.Delegate to others to provide stretch opportunities, and coach them to deliver results.Review your work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance.Uphold the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct.

 Job Requirements

Solid experience working in a professional role with an Audit, Compliance, Legal, Ethics, Risk or Business Conduct background preferred.Analytical, written and communication skills, focus on client service and ability to work with teams will be crucial in this role.Previous Independence, Compliance, Ethics or Risk experience is preferred, yet not required. We will provide thorough training in both a formal and informal capacity. We are a dynamic and collaborative team who will support your learning and experience as you develop in your role.Being commercially aware and having the willingness to work with the business to provide practical and timely advice. Strong interpersonal skills in order to manage stakeholders effectively. The capacity to learn, drive to succeed and dedication to quality will be key parts of the role. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment so being agile, able to multitask and having strong organizational skills will be the key to success.

Education and Experience:

ACA with at least 1 year of work experience post qualificationACCA with at least 4 years of work experienceArticleship completed from Big 4Part-qualified CA with 2+ years work experience post completion of training from Big 4Masters degree with current work experience of 2+ years in compliance/ ethics / risk function of a large size organization
