The Senior Associate Remediation Engineer is responsible for leading project teams serving a portfolio of well-established and new clients and projects in the public and private market sectors. Leadership responsibilities will include project management, technical leadership, and client relationship development and maintenance. This includes partnering closely with the Remediation Technical Service Leader to develop strategies for business development, technical differentiation, thought leadership, account growth and project execution within the Environmental Global Practices while promoting the Burns McDonnell culture, values, and mission. The Senior Associate Remediation Engineer will direct the development of execution teams dynamically and profitably based on Burns McDonnell's core values of client satisfaction, commitment, dedication, integrity, safety, and overall outstanding service.
Responsible for directing ENS projects in the remediation and market.Responsible for fostering partnership of ENS with the Construction Division and other Global Practices involved in remediation, water resources management and infrastructure development. These include the Water, Power, Aviation Federal, Oil-Gas-Chemicals and Global Facilities Divisions.Partner with and support existing Emerging Contaminants team withing ENS, as well as the multi-divisional PFAS team providing PFAS solutions to clients across all markets, industries and geographies.Work with project teams and market leaders to convert remediation investigation, consulting and engineering design projects into construction opportunities and partner with Construction professionals to develop procurement-construction execution strategies, prepare proposals and close deals.Support leadership in defining the overall business strategy to increase project delivery capabilities to achieve stated goals and objectives.Partner with leadership to assess resource requirements with the identified talent and staffing needed to successfully meet clients and project stated targets.Support remediation sales and marketing strategies and proposal development.Provide industry expertise, input, and evaluation on remediation projects.Ensure stated targets and standards are met for successful financial performance.Support staff development, quality control and resource coordination amongst departments and locations.Prepare scopes of work, cost estimates and proposals and develop and evaluate plans for major projects.Manage individual projects and supervise and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams. Projects may range from multi-million-dollar remediation programs to smaller projects (i.e.< $100k) at investigation and remediation sites.Participate in business planning and business development efforts to support the growth of the ENS Remediation practice.Effectively balance billable and non-billable time.Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members.Support recruitment, development, training, and retention of staff.Perform other duties as assigned.Comply with all policies and standards.
