What is the opportunity?

The Senior Relationship Management (SRM) team is a cross-product function for client coverage, accountable for the success of the global relationship with the firm’s top clients. SRMs act as account managers, RBC ambassadors and trusted advisors to many of RBC’s global asset management, hedge fund, banks and alternative asset clients across Global Markets and the broader RBC enterprise.

We have an exciting opportunity to join us on a 12 month Fixed term contract as a VP/Associate in which you will lead and support SRMs, and our partners across the bank (including senior mgmt., traders, salespeople, and bankers) in client & opportunity analysis, focusing on adding value to various projects, increasing efficiency in workflows, contributions to new business initiatives, market analysis, marketing campaigns, client pitches and presentations.

What will you do?

Assisting in preparation of client related materials (internal briefing notes, internal GM analysis)Senior management briefings and other marketing materials in conjunction with internal partners across our Global Markets and Investment Banking PlatformAnalysing company performance and general researchHelping to prepare for flagship conferences and events (IMF Conference, Fixed Income Leaders Conference), various product roadshows and Senior Management visits.Liaise with clients in a support capacity to the lead/senior SRMs. Some 1x1 engagement with clients over time.Help & support senior team to solicit and originate new business opportunities.Coordinate the marketing efforts of regional offices (i.e. European, American, Asian) to ensure coverage of European based clients is coordinated and consistent on a geographic basis and that timely advice is being provided regarding market/ trading opportunities/ windows on a global basis.

Experience in financial servicesCandidates should have knowledge of financial services, capital markets, asset management, and regulatory capital and/or corporate finance through their current employment.An understanding of the industry, the key players, strategic dynamics as well as the current issues facing the sectorAdvanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Tableau skillsExperience with client needs and objectives to provide innovative, timely and effective solutions.Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts in an efficient and clear mannerKnowledge of financial services and the ability to apply them creatively to diverse client needs.Base knowledge and understanding of equities, fixed income, derivatives, DCM, ECM, Asset Management, Private Capital Markets, SecuritizationAdvanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, TableauSome information source experience, notably BloombergSelf-motivated, innovative, and adaptableSound judgement, particularly in valuation matters, with strong analytical skills.Strong communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with clients (internal and external) at all levels.Team player and ability to work with & coordinate many people.Rigorous work ethic and willingness to invest time required to meet deadlines while completing assignments accurately.Strong attention to detailOriginal & Creative
