Bridgestone Americas and its subsidiaries develop, manufacture and market a wide range of Bridgestone, Firestone and associate brand products to address the needs of a broad range of customers and industries. **Job Category** Data & Analytics **Position Summary** The Senior Assortment Analyst is a unique role within Bridgestone that offers the teammate the ability to cover a wide range of customer topics and time horizons. A successful candidate needs to have a drive for results, ability to coordinate with cross-functional business partners, excellent communication, and a strong customer focus. In order to accomplish these goals, there are several key responsibilities the analyst leads to set the team up for success. First, the role works closely with their sales counterpart to establish monthly deliverables and agendas for customer meetings. Second, the analyst is responsible for coordinating weekly/bi-weekly/monthly customer meetings focused on assortment stocking plans, supply outlook, new item transitions, consumer and trade promotions, as well as winter tire sales. The role works closely with key customer contacts, Bridgestone sales, supply chain, and distribution center operations to maximize sales based off the forecast and monthly budget. This role is a critical link between the customer, sales, and Bridgestone supply chain focused on creating mutual value for both the company and our customers. **Responsibilities** + Lead the coordination of agendas and content for Collaborative customer meetings with Bridgestone sales and the cross-functional team. + Ensure key follow ups are captured and completed for each discussion with specific deliverables and deadlines. + Monitor and measure sales objectives monthly with the team to ensure all metrics are on track to deliver the budget. + Define the root cause and support team to take corrective actions during monthly meetings for any metrics that are off track. + Lead the customer through new item transitions, promotion events, and winter tire sales to maximize the sales potential of each execution. + Lead monthly customer business reviews providing analysis and recommendations for improvements focused on sell in, sell out, inventory effectiveness, order fill rates, and supply solutions. + Identify distribution and business opportunities within the customer’s merchandising plan to enable sales and share growth. + Imbed the voice of the customer into the sales organization’s decision making process and future business initiatives. + Partner with department peers on team development, engagement, and capability development. **Minimum Qualifications** + Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience + Cross-functional leadership within a matrix organization. + Excellent communication, problem solving, and storytelling capabilities. + Ability to manage complex data, infer trends, and spot patterns. + Knowledge of relevant analytical tools and techniques. + Proficient in EXCEL and a power user with Pivot Table functionality. + Ability to ensure accuracy of data and version control with forecast updates. + Understanding market, customer and end consumer trends. + Excellent project and time-management skills. + Demonstrated expertise in translating data and analysis into relevant implications. **Preferred:** + Experience within the automotive or tire industry. + Working knowledge of Alteryx, Tableau or a similar software. + Understand forecasting concepts, models, and statistical techniques. _Bridgestone is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
