What You Will Do

We are seeking an experienced IT Auditor who understands the critical nature of information technology controls within the financial and insurance industries. This role involves assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, supporting audit projects, and contributing to risk-based audit initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Survey the activity to be audited in order to gain an overview of the nature of the operation and how the system of control functions. Make proposal to Supervisor regarding the direction and thrust of the effort necessary to perform the audit. After approval of audit direction is obtained, plan and prepare the step-by-step audit program and time budget. Determine audit procedures to use. Identify various key control points of the activity. Evaluate the activity’s system effectiveness. Recommend the necessary assistance needed to perform the audit. Maintain responsibility for coordinate counseling, and guide the work efforts of any junior or staff member assigned in the audit. Perform the audit in a professional manner. Obtain, analyze and appraise factual data as a basis of any objective opinion as to the adequacy and effectiveness of the activity being audited. Prepare and conduct a written and/or oral debriefing of the audit findings to auditee management at the conclusion of the audit. Prepare a rough draft of the final report for the General Auditor’s review. Finalize the approved rough draft. Appraise the adequacy of corrective action taken to improve deficiencies. Monitor for satisfactory implementation. Maintain a current knowledge of internal audit techniques, business skills and office procedures.

What You Need

Education: 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.

Experience: 3-5 years in accounting/auditing, preferably in an insurance operation.

Salary: $68,696-$103,044

The final salary to be paid and position within the internal salary range is reflective of the employee’s work experience, their geographic location, education, certification(s), scope and responsibilities in the role, and additional qualifications.

Additional Information:

This position is a full time hourly, exempt (overtime eligible) position.
