Job Purpose
We are seeking a Senior Auditor to join our Internal Audit team. The job holder will conduct local audits, covering all stages of the audit process, from the planning phase to findings follow-up. This person will play a key role in identifying business risks and providing recommendations on improving the internal control framework. The job holder will also contribute to the risk-based local audit planning process.
Technical and ethical characteristics are fundamental to auditing success. Independent from the job level, an auditor should maintain appropriate technical skills as well as agility and commitment to continuous learning.
The role reports to the Internal Audit Manager.
What you will do
Manage the audits assigned, from planning to reporting, identifying and bringing up potential weaknesses and risk Develop the audit work program and conduct audit fieldwork, including documenting processes and procedures, establishing testing approach, reviewing, analyzing documentation, and identifying and documenting process and control issues Formulate clear and concise audit findings, reflecting deficiencies identified during audit fieldwork, related risk impact and suggestions on practical recommendations to mitigate risk Help to conduct an annual audit risk assessment for certain specific areas, deriving recommendations for the subsequent year’s annual audit plan Perform follow-up activities to evaluate the sufficiency and timeliness of management responses and corrective action taken in response to audit recommendations Complete management of audit, inclusive of discussion with key stakeholders, to assess and improve operations within the line of business
What you bring
Degree in Economics/Finance or a related field Knowledge of the International Professional Practice Framework (IPPF) CIA or CPA certification is a plus Up to 5 years of auditing experience within the insurance industry Fluency in English, both spoken and written Knowledge of Microsoft Office Experience with data analysis; familiarity with TeamMate+ is a plus Analytical and problem-solving skills Communication skills, including active listening and consultative mindset Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels Organizational and coordination skills Ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines Ability to drive insights and provide actionable recommendations
