Kforce's client, a Suffolk County Long Island, NY-based full-service CPA firm is seeking a Staff Auditor/Accountant professional. The firm is known for its outstanding culture and competitive compensation program. In this role, the Senior Auditor will serve as the in-charge Auditor for diverse engagements. Responsibilities: * Staff Auditor/Accountant will manage junior staff members on engagements * Develop testing strategies during the planning phase of in-charge engagements and complete planning documentation according to firm standards, GAAS, and best * Complete internal controls documentation, risk assessment, testing and random sample generation for internal and external audit engagements * Perform substantive external audit procedures in moderate and high-risk audit areas, generally account receivable, revenue, debt, net assets/equity, and other areas * Handle reporting phases of engagements, including completing reporting documentation according to firm standards, GAAS, and best practices * As a Staff Auditor/Accountant, you will prepare financial statements and other financial reports for essentially all engagements on which they serve * Prepare management letters for essentially all engagements on which they serve * Prepare and/or review nonprofit information returns (IRS Form 990 and New York State CHAR500)
