This is a specialized role which requires physical interaction with hardware equipment in a simulated data center environment, utilizing Google labs, power, and safety equipment. Regular development and processing of engineering hardware must be performed on site. Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. + 3 years of experience designing and testing multiple subsystems and systems (e.g., software, robotics algorithms, electrical systems, mechanical systems, control systems). + 3 years of experience with industrial electrical control system components and system design, and regional industrial and safety standards (e.g. ISO, NFPA, RIA, ANSI, ETC). Preferred qualifications: + 5 years of experience with the process of developing products, including identifying issues and considerations for delivering a product. + Experience understanding of systems architecture, constraints, and optimal resource configurations in order to optimize system testability, performance, reliability, and cost. + Experience working with PLCs, Servo Drives, VFDs and other industrial components and programming robots, PLCs and industrial vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence or OpenCV). + Experience developing, maintaining, and evolving products, including engineering knowledge, as well as common issues and considerations for delivering, updating, or setting a product. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of automated manufacturing processes within the data center. You will be responsible for project management, process improvement, and technical leadership. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
