These include planning and construction, facilities, public safety and emergency operations, environmental health and safety, transportation, housing, and auxiliary/retail operations. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Automobile/Maintenance Mechanic for Material and Logistical Services.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: Works independently as the only Automobile/Maintenance Mechanic on a particular campus reporting directly to a second level supervisor. May guide and instruct other staff in the performance of a wide range of automobile maintenance and mechanical duties required for all University vehicles. Responsible for daily estimation of work time and procuring appropriate materials for the group. Responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of parts and keeping accurate and current inventory records. May perform any duties of the group. May provide guidance to craft trainees.
