TalentWorld is recruiting a Senior Avionics Certification Engineer in Calgary, Alberta for one of our clients.
Responsibilities Certify avionics and electrical systems for Part 23/25/27/29 aircraft in compliance with TC standards. Review, approve, and validate engineering documents and design for avionics/electrical systems. Conduct conformity inspections and witness ground and flight tests. Ensure certification paperwork is maintained per company procedures. Liaise with Transport Canada and foreign CAAs for certification processes. Serve as technical contact for customers and suppliers. Provide support to MRO, Sales, Manufacturing, and Customer Support teams. Mentor junior engineers and assist in their professional development. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or electrical engineering. Transport Canada airworthiness delegation (AP/DAR) required. Eligible for delegation as an Avionics/Electrical AP within the Avmax DAO. 5+ years in avionics/electrical engineering, with experience in certification processes. Familiarity with Part 23/25/27/29 aircraft preferred. Strong knowledge of avionics/electrical systems and aircraft certification procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD software (AutoCAD/SolidWorks preferred). Effective communication skills in English. Willingness to travel as needed.
