Job Description We are helping a research institution hire a full time Senior Azure Cloud Engineer. This will be a hybrid role in Downtown Chicago in the loop. This will be three days onsite and two days’ work from home.

The Cloud Engineer is responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining robust cloud systems and infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. This role ensures high availability, security, and performance of business-critical applications while adhering to industry best practices and regulatory standards. The engineer plays a key role in developing and executing cloud strategies, policies, and procedures.
Required Skills & Experience Proficiency in Azure services (VMs, Storage, Private Link, App Services, Azure AD/Entra, Azure DevOps) Experience with Azure Monitor and other monitoring tools Skill in automation and scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI, BICEP) Strong understanding of cloud networking and security principles Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps Practices Desired Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field Customer service orientation Ability to prioritize and perform under pressure What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities 70% Hands On 30% Collaboration The Offer Competitive compensation package You will receive the following benefits: Medical Insurance Dental Benefits Vision Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) {including match- if applicable}
