The Opportunity:
The Senior Azure Engineer will mentor and support a team of cloud engineers in designing, implementing, and managing our Azure-based cloud infrastructure. We are looking for deep technical expertise in Azure services and the ability to guide strategic cloud programs that align with our goals.

Coordinate the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Azure resources with Cloud Platform team so that Application development engineers have the right infrastructure available across multiple environments promptlyAide in designing and managing scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure and automation tooling for routine operation tasks for the deployed applicationsManage cloud costs and improve resource usage to achieve cost efficiencyEnsure the reliability, availability, and performance of the Azure environment through proactive monitoring, optimization, and troubleshootingInvestigate and monitor current-state cloud usage, solutions in use, risks, gaps, limitations and recommend solutions, optimizations and remediationMitigate broken systems and prevent future disruptionsConsult and contribute to process improvements of IT policies, procedures, tools, security controls and infrastructureResearch and proof of concept activities, as well as providing recommendations for new technologies, techniques and tools to add value by increasing efficiency while improving service qualityWork with solution architects and partners to confirm developed solutions align with existing standards, meet security controls and meet cloud computing best practices.Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and the adoption of new technologies to enhance the Azure cloud environmentStay up to date with the latest Azure features, tools, and best practices, and share this knowledge to the teamWork with scrum teams on Observability and Monitoring needs and implement solutions by collaborating with Observability teamWork with the Product Owner(s) on helping identify the infrastructure needs for new featuresYour Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure cross platform technology areas, with an emphasis on implementation and maintenance 5+ years of experience building, deploying and managing public cloud IaaS and PaaS servicesConfiguration management, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) toolsets including (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Puppet and Chef)Scripting and automation of builds, workflows, tasks and other integration aspectsExperience building an automated cloud infrastructure across Prod and Non-Prod environmentsExperience in DevSecOps using GitHub, jFrog, and Octopus setupExperience in Monitoring and Observability software, Uptime tracking and managing Highly Available API servicesExperience tracing and troubleshooting issues in Hybrid environmentsExperience with Linux and Microsoft Windows server administrationBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience requiredWhy Fisher Investments:
