As part of the Sports team, you’ll collaborate with world-class engineers to create reliable, scalable solutions for processing and displaying real-time sports data. This is a unique opportunity to shape the sports experience for millions of users worldwide. **Description** In this role, you will: Design, develop, and maintain highly available real-time data services. Improve the performance and reliability of backend systems, employing industry best practices in distributed systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute the technical roadmap and deliver high-impact features. Provide technical direction and mentorship to team members. **Minimum Qualifications** + 5+ years of experience building scalable distributed systems. + Proficiency in Java with expertise in Object-Oriented and Functional programming. + Strong knowledge of concurrency control, data structures, and algorithms. + Experience with databases such as Cassandra and Redis, and stream processing platforms like Kafka. + Familiarity with stream processing frameworks and best practices. + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience. **Key Qualifications** **Preferred Qualifications** + Working knowledge of GraphQL. + Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments. + Passion for sports and understanding of the sports data ecosystem. + Self-motivated with strong collaboration and communication skills. + Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment. **Education & Experience** **Additional Requirements** **Pay & Benefits** + At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
