What is the opportunity?
As a Sr. Software Banking Tech Lead – partner across IT and with assigned business line(s) to assess, research, and analyze business, technical and system needs in order to resolve business systems issues by recommending technology solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs.
What will you do?
Provides consulting services on new and strategic initiatives (medium to large of varying complexity) supporting the Cash Management and SBL lines of Business.Researches emerging trends/best practices and determines implications of proposed solutions on meeting business unit strategyDevelops feasibility studies and proposals for senior management and executive decisions on large complex projectsTogether with Project Manager, and Solutions Architect determines best mix of development, interfacing applications, third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectivesResponsible for all aspects of joint development and assists with vendor negotiationsProvides input and coordinates with DBA in creating new and modifying existing database structures using different types of databases and recommending appropriate DB based on required functionality across multiple systemsDevelops detailed plans and accurate estimates for the design, build, implement and stabilize phases of the project and manage detailed design phases for large projects/ programs identifying, tracking and resolving technical issues and ensuring solution meets sponsor needs and PLC deliverablesProvides direction, expertise, feedback, coaching and development to build the capability of more junior staffSpearheads joint technical design sessions (internally and with SaaS vendor) via technical iteration of design, development, documentation, testing and deploymentWhat do you need to succeed?
Must-have
7+ years of deep working experience of banking software and core backend systems.Well informed of current banking regulations and experience interacting with Regulatory agencies.Experience with money movement (Wires, ACH, Journals) processes and systems; focusing on UHNW clientsProfessional experience on multiple projects with multiple interfaces and/or 3rd parties5+ years of experience with MS SQLWorking knowledge of different programming languages (e.g. SQL, .NET, C++, HTML, Cobol, JCL). Emphasis on strong SQL skillsStrong grasp of complex data structures (nested data structures) and capacity to drive data-driven architectureProven track record of exceptional problem-solving skillsVery strong communication and teamwork skills with ability to learn new concepts at a very fast paceExperience with managing SaaS software solutions and driving continuous improvement with vendor solutionsNice-to-have
Knowledge of developing, designing, and consuming RESTFUL servicesWorking knowledge of GitHub repositoryMultiple platforms e.g. MVS, Internet, Client/Server and ability to select appropriate one to meet business needsExperience with backend banking system conversions.What’s in it for you?
