Contractor employee will perform tasks on an as-needed basis, such as:
§ Based on Banner knowledge, identify baseline or custom solutions quickly to help escalate and facilitate discussions for best practice and where needed custom solutions
§ Design and develop technical solutions according to MSU development standards
§ Design and develop custom interfaces
§ Assist in developing processes to migrate data from Banner database to a data warehouse
§ Assist in design and development of data conversion processes
§ Serve as a technical liaison to the integration teams to ensure applications or systems required to interface with the Banner ERP system are fully supported and properly integrated
Contractor Employee Qualifications
§ Contractor employee must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Banner with at least 3 years in leading a technical team
§ Contractor employee must have previously mentored and trained Banner technical teams
§ Experience in creating development standards and processes
§ Experience in building configured instance
§ Experience in building and implementing Banner security policies
§ Expert-level proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Java, HTML, XML, Groovy, Grails, and proficient in working on UNIX/LINUX OS
§ Experience in developing Banner Forms
§ Functional expertise in Banner Student, Finance, HR, Financial Aid modules
§ Experience in shell scripting
§ Experience in Appworx/UC4 process design and migrating
§ Experience in development on the Oracle 11g platform
§ Experience in a variety of Ellucian products, such as but not limited to DegreeWorks, Course Signals, BRM
§ Experience in a variety of Banner add-on products such as but not limited to Axiom, Ad Astra, StarRez
§ Experience in integrating Learning Management Systems such as D2L, Moodle, Blackboard with Banner
§ Experience in a Tomcat web server environment performing installation / configuration / tuning.
§ Experience in JAVA development including (Beans, JSP, Servlets, Webservices, Security) and JAVA Script API web development (JQUERY, YUI) using XML, JSON, or ATOM
§ Knowledge of security controls and demonstrated experience applying security best-practices throughout the development lifecycle.
