Business Development Representatives, the ‘execution’ arm of the Demand Generation team are key members of the go-to-market team, peered with account executives and responsible for the early to mid-stage opportunity development. The Entry Level Business Development role at Payments is an early career role, and an important step on any professional sales executive’s career journey. In this role, you'll become comfortable with account development, engaging high level business and technical decision makers, and the ability to identify and develop opportunities as part of a high performing sales team.
Assigned to an industry and a set of named accounts, the BDR function owns progress and success in developing the revenue pipeline in that space.
The Business Development Representative has an interest in B2B enterprise back-office technology, and/or FinTech solutions and you demonstrate an acumen for translating product features capabilities into benefits relevant to every member of the buying committee.
You’re confident in yourself and your personal business skills. You’ll be expected to ‘own your numbers’ and you’ve got a lot to say on the topic of helping business and IT executives transform their businesses and delight THEIR customers. You are comfortable meeting with executives, and confident in your ability to take to market sophisticated enterprise application.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities Support Senior BDRs with their account and opportunity development Own ‘top of funnel’ account development within assigned accounts and industry space. Perform outbound activities and achieve monthly performance targets for contact development, account engagement, and opportunity advancement. Create and execute account plans in partnership with account executives for assigned accounts. Develop sales opportunities by adding value to account relationships, and establishing Payments as a trusted provider of choice. Leverage internal tools and networking to drive new business. Partner with Campaign teams to effectively land marketing programs into assigned accounts. Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position does not have any supervisory responsibility
Education and Experience Exposure to sales / account development function, preferably within the commercial space. 5+ years of experience Ability to establish and maintain executive level relationships with prospect accounts. Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment that is motivated by revenue growth. Work EnvironmentThis job operates remotely with an expectation of professionalism. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, during normal business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
TravelTravel to meet with clients or potential clients or attend marketing events may be on occasion. Travel requirement is up to 5%; however, travel may be greater or less than this percentage during certain periods of the year.
