Senior Benefits Analyst

The Senior Benefits Analyst position supports all aspects of the Corporate Benefits function including programs such as medical, prescription, dental, vision, legal, FSAs, HSAs, life insurance and retirement plans.  Primary focus is managing the day-to-day health and welfare and retirement administration processes for employees in the US and Canada as well as working with Ecolab’s third-party vendor solutions.  

Position Details: This will be a hybrid position based out of our headquarters in St. Paul, MN.

                                                                                    

What you will do:

Assists in the management of health and welfare benefits plans, programs and policies to ensure accurate and effective administration.Responsible for HSA employee and employer funding administration and reconciliation.Support system liaison with our outsourced vendors for all benefits, with an ability to process flow and troubleshoot possible solutions for file and data related issues.  Evaluates and revises internal processes to increase efficiency; documents and maintains procedures for assigned benefits processes.Responsible for Global Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) administration.Responsible for North America retirement wire transfers and payroll corrections as needed.Administer Canada grandfathered executive wellness program.Lead Sox project – annual Business Process Narrative (BPN) updates and control testing.Responsible for reporting and data requests.Support US annual enrollment project focusing on technology, data and testing. Responsible for coordination and support of the annual 5500 government filings and Summary Annual Reports mailings.Conduct quarterly audits and year-end close processes.Support Benefits Analysts providing subject matter expertise on Health and Welfare plan provisions and escalated issues.Conduct or contribute to special projects as requested or needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business or related field or combination of relevant education and experience5 years of experience in benefits, retirement or related HR processesStrong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal and organizational skills, including high degree of accuracy and attention to detailStrong Microsoft Excel skills; Advanced Excel skills including V-lookups, utilizing pivot tables, trouble shooting and creating complex formulas; macro experience a plusAbility to remain flexible in a changing demanding environmentAbility to work effectively in a team environment and other areas of the organization to implement, communicate and administer benefit plansExperience collaborating with internal and external resources within HR, HRIS, payroll, legal, finance, TPAs, consultants and vendorsAbility to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and positive energyKnowledge of benefit related legal requirements including, but not limited to ACA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, HIPPAImmigration sponsorship NOT available for this role
