The Opportunity

The Senior Benefits Associate II will a subject matter expert for benefits and benefits administration.  The successful candidate will be integral in the new employee onboarding process, implementation and maintenance of the HRMS benefits module and a primary in-house expert for benefits questions and leave of absences. In addition, this role will participate in a variety of HR initiatives, leveraging the technology to automate, track, measure and report data in a meaningful way. This position will work cross-functionally with the HR Business Partner organization as well as divisions such as G&A, Research, Development and Commercial Operations, as needed.

What You Will Contribute

Operate as the SME for welfare benefits, benefits administration and leaves of absences. Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, mental health, and 401(k), Oversee and administer leaves of absences; includes such leaves as disability leaves and coordination with state and federal regulations. Expert knowledge in developing leave schedules, communicating with leave-eligible employees, supervisor and P/R department to effectively manage expectations and information. Onboard new hires as we aggressively hire; responsibilities include notifying other departments, preparation, and knowledge of 90-day orientation program, benefit offerings, compliance training, and other on-boarding programming in place.Participate in the HRMS implementation, maintenance and enhancements particularly as it relates to the benefits module and reporting.Complete benefits-related surveys throughout the year and receive industry results to evaluate current practices versus market, providing proposals to evolve and enhance Avidity offerings.Liaise with HRMS provider as it relates to benefits to access technical support, troubleshooting and guidance to end-users, with an eye towards self-service. Responsible for compliance reporting.Contribute to benefit renewal process on an annual basis, evaluating current and potential offerings to continue competitive benefits package.Operate as a primary lead for open enrollment process, collaborating with brokers to deliver annual presentations for both welfare benefits and 401k to inform colleagues of offerings, costs, changes, technology platform and due dates for enrollment.Create dashboards and reports to help track, measure, dashboard and reports for analysis, prediction and planning. Leverage technology platform to create efficiencies for HR department and Avidity employees.Other responsibilities as requested.

What We Seek

BA/BS or equivalent years of experience in Business, Human Resources, or a related field. Minimum of 5+ years HRMS experience and some broad-based HR exposure, including interactions with senior management and HR colleagues.Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry required.Local presence preferred to have frequent interactions with HR Team and Avidity colleagues.Prior experience with notable HRMS implementation and maintenance, including a benefits module. Experience with ADP Workforce Now a plus.Experience working for a publicly traded company and knowledge of SOX regulations is a plus.Knowledge of current best practices within benefits in addition to federal, state and local employment-related regulations, particular as it relates to leaves of absence.Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a business team; approachable and effective communicator with people across all levels in the organization.Strong interpersonal and written, verbal and presentation communication skills, with the ability to develop a high degree of personal credibility across client groups. Ability to train and teach others in systems, processes and solutions.Proven ability to analyze issues, determine root cause and problem solve in a collaborative, cross-function team environment.Technology savvy with the ability to implement technology platforms. Must have extensive skills, knowledge and abilities with computers and Microsoft Office applications. What We will Provide to You:The base salary range for this role is $127,300-140,000. The final compensation will be commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors.Avidity offers competitive compensation and benefits which includes the opportunity for annual and spot bonuses, stock options and RSUs, as well as a 401(k) with an employer match.
