Senior Bereavement Counselor (Part Time) - Hospice

**Description**
The Senior Bereavement Counselor is a member of the Bereavement Team, with significant clinical skill to manage high risk and complicated grief. The Counselor provides bereavement services to individuals which include assessments, treatment plans, information and resources, grief education, crisis intervention, bereavement counseling and support group facilitation. Outreach and education are also provided to the community. The Counselor may provide care to premature infants, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young, middle and older adults.

**Required qualifications:**
+ Master's Degree in Social Work; program accredited by the Council on Social Work.
+ upon hire: California Clinical Social Worker License. Or
+ upon hire: California Clinical Social Work Associate License. Or
+ upon hire: California Professional Counselor License. Or
+ Required upon hire: California Marriage and Family Therapist License (Vendor Managed) Or
+ Required upon hire: California Marriage and Family Therapist Intern License (Vendor Managed) Or
+ Required upon hire: California Psychologist License (Vendor Managed)
+ Required upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
+ 2 years Post license experience in the field of social work.
+ 3 years Experience in the area of bereavement and loss.
**Preferred qualifications:**
+ 1 year Experience in support group facilitation.
+ Experience in Hospice Care.
+ Experience as a supervisor/preceptor with Masters in Social Work interns.
+ Experience in working with volunteers.
