Manpower Engineering is partnering with ELMT Consulting, Inc., a leader in the environmental solutions industry, for a Senior Biologist/Project Manager. We are looking for environmentally conscious individuals who are interested in balancing the development and protection of our natural resources. The project manager will work with landowners and developers, private and governmental agencies, and many other stakeholders, such as engineering and architectural firms, attorneys, and other environmental consultants. **Job Title: Senior Biologist/Project Manager** **Location: Virtual work with occasional travel to project sites/customer offices within San Bernardino and Riverside Counties (mileage reimbursement)** **Duration: Ongoing, long term contract** **Pay: Exempt, $85,000 - $95,000 with incentive plan, 401k and PTO** Key Responsibilities · Research existing data sources, perform field investigations to document baseline conditions of the existing environment, and then summarize your findings and recommendations. · Lead biology surveys, including biological reconnaissance, vegetation mapping, rare plant surveys, jurisdictional delineations, focused species surveys and/or pre-construction clearance surveys. · Draft and review due diligence/constraints reports, focused survey reports, GIS mapping, jurisdictional delineation reports, monitoring reports, restoration/mitigation plans, regional conservation plan consistency documents and biological technical reports, including impact analysis and mitigation measures for multiple jurisdictions. · Lead biological preconstruction surveys, and monitoring for construction and restoration projects. · Propose, develop, and execute mutually agreeable business development plans, proposals, and work plans. · Lead client meetings, manage clients and work product. · Lead regulatory and wildlife permitting. Requirements · Bachelor's degree in biology, botany, environmental science, ecology, or similar discipline with biological emphasis.  · Passion for the environment and outdoors. · High energy and physically able to hike on uneven terrain and miles at a time when in the field. · Minimum of 5-7 years of environmental consulting experience in the Southern California marketplace. · 1+ years demonstrating success with project management, client relations, and business development.
