Senior BioPharma Technical Sales rep

We are currently seeking a Technical Sales Representative who will be responsible for the sales activities associated with the growth and development of our BioPharma Clone Screening and Analytical Platforms (ClonePix, Qpix, CloneSelect, Dispencell,) and Biologic Workflow Automation in the Western United States. A Technical Sales Representative is required to build and maintain strong customer relationships advised toward growing Molecular Devices’ market share, revenue and profitability year over year. What we’ll get you doing: + Develop and implement account strategies & plans, designed to achieve order, revenue, and margin projections. + Coordinate with internal and external technical resources to support specific customer requests, applications, and sales opportunities; includes coordination with Engineering, R&D, Sales, Scientific Laboratory Services, Finance, and Legal + Maintain an accurate & up-to-date customer database in Salesforce.com with accurate monthly forecasting for the territory + Provide creative contents approach strategies to work with Sales team members, Marketing communications personnel and Category representatives. + Focus on workflow solution selling including call strategy, script customization, effective probing and objection-handling techniques + Attend and participate in Regional and Local Product Shows The essential requirements of the role include: + Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related Life Sciences subject area with a minimum of 3 years of field sales experience Selling into the life science or drug discovery industry + Willing and able to travel to required team/Customer meetings, (several trips per year including overnight stays) + Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers. Comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people all day + Proven ability to build long term effective relationships with all kind of business partners (distributors, dealers, key accounts, end-users, opinion makers) as well as the validated ability to lead and develop those relationships. + Results-driven. Demonstrated initiative and personal accountability to meet work demands according to the highest standards, while being able to prioritize and balance competing needs. The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000.00 This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
