JOB SUMMARY:
To manage location assets and personnel at the customer site to meet established customer
requirements in support of the location's strategic plan. Must be certified by APC to blast.\n

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n

Must satisfactorily perform each of the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities listed
below.
\u2022Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by complying with MSHA, OSHA, ATF,
\u2022DOT regulations within the work area.
\u2022Performs all necessary duties to prepare designated area for blasting including verification of
\u2022blast shelter, blast equipment, drill pattern stemming, face, and blast area.
\u2022Supervises personnel at the customer site\/blast area.
\u2022Assists in training and development of employees.
\u2022Builds and sustains rapport with the current customer base to increase market share and
\u2022ensure growth, including pricing or budget controls.
\u2022Coordinates the handling of all complaints and\/or incidents of customers with appropriate
\u2022personnel.
\u2022Communicates regularly with sales representative regarding customer accounts.\n

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n

May perform any of the marginal functions, duties, and responsibilities listed below on a limited
basis in the event that a subordinate is unavailable or unable to perform their functions, duties,
and responsibilities.
\u2022Assist or perform the duties of any location position (as qualified).\n

DECISION MAKING AND ACCOUNTABILITY:
Has overall authority and responsibility for the following as defined by corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines.
\u2022Personnel in blast area.
\u2022Customer satisfaction.
\u2022Regulatory compliance.\n

ERGONOMIC CONDITIONS:\n

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
\u2022Outdoor climate and terrain. Exposure to dust, noise, oils, greases, and other debris.
\u2022Work outdoors year-round on surfaces that may be dry, wet, slippery\/slick, or uneven, on rock, in water, or snow.
\u2022While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to walk, stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.\n

QUALIFICATIONS:
\u2022Must be 21 as required by ATF.
\u2022High school or equivalent (GED) degree.
\u2022Must possess upon hire or acquire within 12 months of hire the following certification: Austin Powder Company Blasting Certification - State Blaster's License.
\u2022Minimum 5 years certified blasting experience.
\u2022Must be technically capable to blast any quarry or mine serviced by the location.
\u2022MSHA Safety and First Aid Certification.\n

SKILLS\/KNOWLEDGE:
\u2022Must demonstrate competency and proficiency in the following skills and\/or abilities.
\u2022Interpersonal skills.
\u2022Product\/technical knowledge including: Proficient in EBR. Intermediate knowledge of ABS.
\u20222D Profiling, seismograph operation and blast site security proficient.
\u2022Global Position System proficient.
\u2022Monitoring and implementing compliance measures.
\u2022Knowledge of applicable regulations.
\u2022Time and priority management skills.
\u2022Basic computer skills.\n
