Site Name: Japan - Tokyo - Akasaka Posted Date: Feb 4 2025 Job purpose: The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for driving commercial success in the Japan by leveraging local market insights to shape global strategy, translating these strategies into effective local tactics, and co-creating impactful marketing initiatives. The role mainly scopes managing and optimizing the performance of Omjjara (Momelotinib) for Myelofibrosis (MF). The Senior Marketing Manager will ensure the achievement of national sales, profit, and promotional budget targets. Additionally, the role includes providing strategic leadership, mentorship to junior team members, and engaging with senior leadership to align local strategies with global objectives. This role will also involve assessing new pipeline opportunities and collaborating with the new product team to ensure the successful market entry of upcoming products. Key responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute high-level marketing strategies to support the ongoing success of Omjjara (Momelotinib) in the Japanese market, ensuring alignment with global objectives, and create robust annual marketing/business plans to achieve and exceed sales, profit, and promotional budget targets. Commercial Excellence: Drive the commercial success of Omjjara by leveraging deep insights into local market dynamics, customer needs, and the competitive landscape, translating these insights into actionable plans, and monitoring advanced performance KPIs to make strategic adjustments. Mentorship and Development: Foster a culture of excellence by providing strategic leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to junior team members, ensuring the growth and retention of top talent. Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication, strategic alignment, and collaboration across the organization. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including haematologists, healthcare professionals, industry experts, and internal teams, to enhance the brand's market presence and reputation. Actively engage with haematology societies and other relevant professional organizations to promote the benefits of Omjjara and ensure its integration into clinical practice. New Product Integration: Collaborate with the new product team to assess pipeline opportunities, providing strategic insights to support the successful market entry of new products. Basic qualification: Proven ability to drive commercial success through strategic and tactical marketing initiatives in hematology/oncology area Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional and global teams. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and innovatively. Results-oriented, with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Experience: 5-7years in brand management or marketing, preferably within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on Oncology/Hematology marketing and product launches. Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns, including experience managing and optimizing the performance of pharmaceutical brands. Experience working with global marketing team and effectively collaborate with global. Education/certification/Language: High fluency in both Japanese and English (both written and spoken) Bachelor degree (Business/ Medicine related/ Related discipline, MBA preferred) Why GSK?
