Job Description
Purpose Statement
Lead the comprehension of patient experience insights across the Brand and In Field Team and develop the Patient Journey to focus the Brand Team on the delivery of patient-centric strategies including CLM engagement and customization within AbbVie business code of conduct, policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
Major Responsibilities
1. Marketing and Product Management (25% of time)
• Lead and implement brand marketing strategy to achieve brand leadership within the framework of Business Unit’s objectives. Contributing to the setting of annual sales targets. Measuring and updating plans to ensure results are on or above set annual budgets.
• Creating and implementing innovative tactical promotional programs to support Sales Force activities and drive brand performance.
• Contributing to regular business unit’s meeting in a manner that facilitates ideas and results consistent with our WoW culture that will build Oncology Franchise’s success.
• Providing on-going report that helps Management team reflect on the business. This covers: Key issues, opportunities, competitive activities, short term projects and where appropriate progress versus agreed milestones. Gather data to understand customer needs, market size, market growth and competitive share position and initiate market research project if needed
2. Implementation, Coordination and Monitoring (25% of time)
• Ensure that marketing plan is communicated to field force.
• Manage and drive new product development program and existing business through close co-ordination with affiliate team and Regional/Area team.
• Develop, support, direct and manage the in-market business, optimize resources to achieve the goal. Transform customer insights into marketing strategies and tactical plan for in field team execution
• Maintain contact and build relationships with key opinion leaders to get support and build company image.
• Develop creative input for the marketing plan and key product strategies, tactics and promotional activities to achieve maximum market impact.
• Monitor competitive product promotion and develop specific measures to counter competitive activity.
• Continually review assigned products progress / prognosis to initiate corrective measures where necessary.
• Implement all training activities/Cycle Meetings related to product promotion for in-field team.
• Organize, implement, control and report on pre-launch campaigns of assigned products.
• Work with Market Access to co-develop reimbursement strategies, engage Reimbursement & Policy stakeholders on driving market access priorities.
• Coordinate with Medical team on shaping Academic & Brand advocates through scientific data
• Partner with Public Affairs and Patient Relations to engage Patient Advocates on driving treatment awareness and patient education programs
• Liaise with the Regulatory Affairs Manager and Quality Affairs Managers in conducting safety monitoring/risk minimization programs for assigned products.
3. Budget Management (20% of time)
• Managing the Annual IMK Budget
• Completing revisions during financial planning budgets with accurate documentation
• Ensuring A&P expenditure is accurate against forecast.
• Forecasting inventory requirements with the Supply Chain Manager and assisting with inventory control to maintain accuracy of sales forecasts and product requirements.
4. Team Management (15% of time)
• Designing and implementing strategically aligned goals that support the direction of products and product portfolio. Coordinate with Sales Managers to ensure that marketing plan of each product is communicated to Sales Team.
• Monitor the progress of these goals and provide source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.
• Make periodic sales calls with Sales Team and/or Sales Manager to get firsthand information on trends and conditions in the market/industry and to aid sales teams in their sales efforts.
5. Conference Management (15% of time)
• Managing AbbVie’s speakers/ workshops meetings throughout the year
• Determining AbbVie’s various speaker programs and congress to ensure that company’s profile/ brand is enhanced
• Overall management of major stand-alone Company organized forums throughout the year and regional & international meetings, in consultation with Medical’s colleagues when necessary.
External Stakeholders
• Patients, Health Care Professionals, Key Opinion Leaders, payers, agencies (MR, PR, digital)
Internal Stakeholders
• In-field teams, Brand Team, Brand Team Leader, Area Commercial, Affiliate Management Team
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant experience with proven track record of success in marketing within biotech/pharmaceutical industry
• Prior experience in Oncology or other Specialty Care portfolio would be an added advantage.
• Marketing and sales track record of success within biotech/pharmaceutical or any other industry is preferred.
• Ability to translate strategies into actionable and realistic marketing actions
• Ability to lead, motivate and coordinate cross functional teams
• Solid working knowledge of healthcare environment and evolving landscape
• Solid knowledge of strategic and tactical marketing principles and techniques including digital knowledge
• Solid knowledge on finance principles and processes
• English language proficiency verbally and in writing (for all non-English speaking countries)
