Senior Business Analyst, Identity and Access Management (IAM)

What You Will Do:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in Identity and Access Management (IAM) to join our team. In this role, you will support large government-wide identity programs by capturing and documenting business requirements, defining processes, and analyzing IAM solutions.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze detailed business and technical requirements for IAM projects.

• Create and maintain functional and non-functional requirements documentation to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Support PMO in Project Delivery:

• Assist the PMO in managing IAM projects through their lifecycle, ensuring requirements are understood, tracked, and achieved.

• Partner with project managers to develop project schedules, track deliverables, and ensure IAM program objectives are met.

• Define and document IAM-related processes, workflows, and standards to optimize identity governance and access control measures.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements within IAM and implement best practices for enhancing system security and user experience.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Serve as a liaison between technical and business teams, facilitating communication and ensuring stakeholder needs are understood and addressed.

• Conduct regular meetings, presentations, and workshops to review requirements, project updates, and deliverables.

• Prepare comprehensive documentation, including use cases, user stories, data flow diagrams, and specifications for IAM solutions.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for requirements, decisions, and system configurations to support ongoing program management.

What You Will Need:

• Minimum 5 (five) years of experience in business analysis, with at least 3 years focused on Identity and Access Management (IAM).

• Proven experience supporting PMO or project management teams in delivering IAM or related information security projects.

• Understanding of IAM concepts, including identity lifecycle management, role-based access control (RBAC), and privileged access management (PAM).

• Familiarity with IAM technologies and standards (e.g., LDAP, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, multi-factor authentication).

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable requirements.

• Excellent communication skills to articulate requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Proficiency in project management and business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Microsoft Project).

• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain Secret clearance.

• This is a hybrid role which requires you to be within a commutable distance and have the ability to work out of Arlington, VA or at a client site in the DC Metro. If located outside of area, must be willing to relocate without financial assistance.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

• Relevant certifications, such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM).

• Experience working in regulated industries or with IAM governance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FICAM).
