Senior Business Analyst

Description

ICF is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support a large Strategy and Business Solutions Support Contract. If you are looking for an opportunity to help inform and direct IT investment decisions and develop and manage architectural targets and standards for our client, then this is the job for you. Join our team if you are looking to use and further perfect your business analysis and project management skills. This position will work remotely for a Federal client in Arlington, VA.

What you’ll be doing:

Leading efforts for highly complex projects and moderate to highly complex programs.

Formulating and defining strategies, business processes, and systems scope and objectives for programs and projects through research and fact-finding activities combined with an expert understanding of business process analysis and requirements management practices and principles. 

Recommending and applying strategic thinking, process improvement, and re-engineering methodologies and principles to process improvement programs and projects by proposing, completing, and analyzing business, data, hybrid enterprise models.

Identifying best practices, documenting and assessing performance measurements, and identifying business and technology solutions to streamline processes. 

Leading group facilitation sessions, interviews, training, and other activities to gather information from stakeholders.

Providing direction and strategic vision to business analysis framework improvement programs by assessing and recommending all business analysis related disciplines. 

Eliciting and managing business and systems level requirements for projects.

Employing industry standard tools to manage requirements and develop medium to complex business process models to support requirements management and/or business process modeling activities. 

Conducting knowledge transfer of strategic plans, scope, requirements, and other analyses to program and project teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions to client areas.

Applying portfolio management concepts including business-IT alignment, prioritization, market research, business cases development, and project costing techniques for moderate to highly complex projects; and

Ensuring recommended/delivered solution(s) meet business needs for programs, projects, and sub-projects as assigned. 

What you will need:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Information Systems Management, Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

7+ years of work experience with progressively increasing responsibilities and advanced knowledge of technologies relevant to the engagement.

Solid knowledge and experience with applying Agile Methodologies concepts and practices.

Understanding of on-Prem and off-Prem (Cloud) based environments.

Demonstrated experience with gathering requirements, compiling metrics, assessing solution readiness, performing research and analysis, and providing program support.

Understanding of Enterprise Architecture concepts including, but not limited to, strategic information gathering, technological research and data-driven process improvements, target architecture, and sequencing plans.

Demonstrated ability to conduct and participate in formal and informal management activities throughout the project life cycle.

Demonstrated mastery in independently applying business analysis, strategic thinking, scoping, requirements elicitation, business process modeling, requirements management, and feasibility and cost benefit analysis on moderately to highly complex projects.

US Citizenship is required by the Federal Government.

The ability to successfully obtain a Public Trust, which involves a thorough background and financial investigation.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Excellent written and verbal communication and personal skills with ability to present to groups, including C-level executives.

Solid understanding of the commercial IT market for hardware and software.

Exhibit strong communication, facilitation, interview, document writing, and presentation skills.    

Mastery in independently applying business analysis on moderately to highly complex projects.

Demonstrated ability to elicit requirements, document user stories, develop business process models, and perform feasibility and cost benefit analyses.

Strong communication, facilitation, interview, formal document writing, and presentation skills.

Advanced knowledge and experience with applying Agile Methodologies concepts and practices.

Advanced proficiency in analytical, project planning, negotiating, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to perform cost-benefit analysis, trending, forecasting, and financial analysis. 

Knowledge and understanding of on-prem and off-prem (Cloud) based environments.

Knowledge and understanding of Enterprise-wide platform deployment software.

Proficiency in using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, Teams, and Visio).

Experience using Tableau, GitHub, and ServiceNow

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$79,154.00 - $134,561.00
