 Summary\:

The Sr Business Analyst of Applications and Data in ITS is one of our contacts and owners of Higher Education software is supported in Information Technology Services. This position requires prior experience with Higher Education software.  Specifically, prior experience with Ellucian Banner, Ellucian Ethos, Degree Works, Slate, Transact, Application Xtender and Ellucian Data Warehouse is critical.  We expect to move our current architecture from on prem to the cloud over the next few years.  As a key contact for a product, this position needs to manage migrations and upgrades to new products.   If the product is on prem, this position is responsible for managing the state of the servers running the software.  Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience\:

Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of IT related experience.  Experience with enterprise level application development. Demonstrated interpersonal, and management skills. Experience interacting with users, application managers, department heads as well as University senior management. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities\:

*  Prior advanced working knowledge of Ellucian products

*  Ability to contribute to the overall architecture of our software environment

* Advanced Analytical skills.  Understanding how to document and satisfy user requirements.

*  Advanced project management skills.  Knowing how to manage multiple efforts that run simultaneously and how to build a project plan.

*  Demonstrates experience interacting with business partners, outside agencies and vendors on an as needed basis.

*  Advanced knowledge of Oracle SQL,PL/SQL and working knowledge of C#, SQL server, MySQL, Python, JSON, Microsoft Dynamics, JAVA, .NET.

*  Knowledge of handling windows and Linux server environments.

Preferred\:

* Experience with Slate.

 This position requires a background check.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
