Overview We are seeking a full-time Senior Web/Mobile Business Analyst in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, documenting and effectively communicating user requirements for medium to large size projects of average to significant complexity for products across your strategic channel. The Business Analysts also work with stakeholders to drive application/technology solutions and related business processes. Essential Functions Partner with stakeholders to determine strategic channels roadmap Understand and communicate the business impact of issues and how they relate to engineering-owned solutions Actively encourage collaboration and professionalism in a team environment with other Garmin associates to achieve goals Actively implement continuous improvement on an enterprise level for business processes and engineering business analysis processes Proactively identify and contribute to the resolution of ancillary discrepancies and conflicts between interdepartmental applications and strategic channels on an enterprise level Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for application/technology solutions and related business processes within the enterprise Provide functional product ownership and leadership to ensure enterprise stakeholders requirements are met Make substantial contributions to determining feasibility of team or functional goals/objectives Provide reliable solutions to a wide range of difficult problems, including evaluation of new technologies to improve existing functions Manage development and documentation of requirements from multiple global Garmin product managers using use cases, scenarios, complex and perhaps conflicting business workflow analyses Identify interdependencies between projects and overall business strategies and facilitate aligning them to benefit Garmin Collaborate directly with co-located and remote development team members and business clients Work with mobile app and web development teams along with API team to implement features and products Collaborate with device engineering team to support new services Work closely with UX design team to create the best customer experience Collaborate with QA team to define test cases and assist with testing efforts Collaborate with legal team to ensure Garmin is following privacy guidelines Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or relevant field AND a minimum of 5 years relevant experience Must have solid experience as a BA for either mobile- or web-related projects Mastery of business analysis principles and methodologies and ability to apply and adapt them into requirements that meet business needs Demonstrated facilitation and leadership expertise in the development of product/concept development plans Proven track record in successfully executing projects of any scale or complexity Advanced understanding of production and operations issues as they relate to engineering project management, including the ability to successfully identify and mitigate risks Superior analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a cross-functional setting with business partners Ability to work independently with a high degree of competency Agile/Scrum methodology experience and/or training Experience with JIRA Knowledge of human factors in UX design Experience with product management and business development Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
