Job Description

Acumatica is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our team. Join us to build the best-in-class business product using Acumatica xRP technology and grow your skills in a highly professional environment.

This role is available in Montreal or Ottawa, Canada areas.

Responsibilities:                                                                                  

Engage proactively, methodically, and creatively with internal stakeholders, partners, and customers to identify and prioritize customer needs.Evaluate and structure information from multiple sources, elicit requirements, help distinguish user requests from user needs.Perform system analysis and design functional specifications utilizing BDD, UML, ERD for the product features and enhancements. Communicate what’s needed to be done to software developers in technical language.Work closely with software developers and QA engineers to understand technical concepts and to be able to translate business requirements into technical requirements.Research existing product issues and enhancement requests for targeting areas of focus.Collaborate closely with product managers. Help define and groom the product backlog.Demonstrate features and enhancements being developed, manage feedback.Perform user acceptance testing and usability testing.Work closely with QA engineers on quality testing, and participate in the design of test cases and scenarios. Serve as product functional expert: share your product knowledge with the support team, implementation team, and other teams on how to use features, communicate knowledge to partners and clients (technical documentation, training sessions, demo).Analyze support cases and defects, design solutions, and verify defect fixes. 

Qualifications

Requirements:

Higher technical education in computer systems, systems and networks; information systems and technologies, system analysis and management, computational mathematics and informatics.Experience in system analysis, software design and development of functional specifications - for 5+ years in payrollExperience in business software development industry – for 5+ years.User empathy, ability to model user behavior and see flaws in the running application.System thinking and ability to manage complexity at different levels.Ability to structure big amounts of information, decompose objects and processes, synthesize solutions, do impact analysis of the changes.Critical thinking.Attention to details.Ability to express thoughts clearly, strong technical writing and technical communication skills.Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, share information and experience.Ability to adhere to the designated priorities and focus on results.Self-organization skills and ability to work independently, perfectionism.Will be a plus:Business analysis experience for complex systems or processesProgramming experience on any platform or languageProfessional technical writing experienceExperience in Payroll or ERP systemsFluency in French language Critical thinking.Attention to details.Strong technical writing and technical communication skills.Basic Business English is required for this role.
